A pharmacist explains the difference between Nolotil and ibuprofen: "It's not the strength of their effect."

Ibuprofen is one of the most popular medications worldwide. Used as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic , its use may be better suited for some cases than others.
That's why many people are unsure about which medication to use in each case, and one of the medications that often comes into conflict with ibuprofen is Nolotil (metamizole).
Sandra Dubra is a pharmacist and TikToker who shares medication advice on her TikTok account, under the name @farmatiks.
In one of her most viral videos, she explains the difference between ibuprofen and Nolotil. "The main difference between the two isn't the potency of their effects, but rather their safety profile ," the professional explains.
Although both are painkillers indicated for cases of pain or inflammation, one or the other is recommended depending on the patient's profile. Thus, ibuprofen is less harmful to the stomach than other anti-inflammatories.
Nolotil or metamizole, on the other hand, is indicated when there is a history of hypertension, cardiovascular disease or heart attack , as it is safer for patients with this problem.
